Knowing that even the humblest gift, if given in love, would be acceptable in His eyes, Pepita offered a small bouquet of weeds. The weeds suddenly burst into a brilliant red poinsettia. From that day the poinsettia has been called the Flores de Noche Buena, or Flowers of the Holy Night.
