Alana the Alpaca is an alpaca princess originally from Peru, in South America. She has a vacation home at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. When it gets chilly in her Southern Hemisphere Peruvian mountain home, she flies up to the American Northeast to get a haircut and enjoy the more mild weather. When you see Alana, be sure to address her as her "Royal Highness, otherwise she may spit on you, as alpacas love to do!
