The Alabama Department of Pulic Safety purchased the AMC Javelin as a more cost effective vehicle from the standard larger sized police cruisers for the Alabama Highway Patrol in 1971, the same year Javelin won the Trans-Am title and would go on to win in 1972 and 1976 as well. This Alabama Police State Trooper is sure to catch the crooks with his working siren and flashing lights as his pony car races through the streets fighting crime.
