This game was created by Anzhelika Minaeva, Ph.D. journalist, historian, and Russian immigrant from Florida. She has taught history students for 14 years and devoted another five years to regional journalism. This experience became the methodological basis for creating a series of educational games with simple matching mechanics and unusual illustrations to help players of all ages develop imagination and learn more about U.S. history & culture or to orient players before a tourist trip. MEMO Washington, D.C., is a family-friendly card game with hand-crafted illustrations. It is best for family nights, exploring U.S. landmarks, and preparing for traveling. The card game is based on the classic memory-matching game, supplemented with special rules and action cards that make the game competitive and exciting. The game box includes 50 playing cards and a colorful booklet with easy-to-follow instructions and impressive facts about U.S. landmarks from the Ph.D. author. Moreover, each card has an OR code linking to a secret website page with five curious facts about the landmark and its location on the map. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Play solo or with a group.
