This HYX55 variation features a white body with purple and black custom striping, purple-tinted windows, a purple interior, low-profile wheels, and the long, flowing body shape that has defined the Purple Passion casting for decades.
Purple Passion draws its styling inspiration from heavily customized early-1950s Mercury coupes, with a chopped roofline, rounded fenders, low stance, elongated rear bodywork, and a dramatic custom grille treatment. The smooth body surfaces and exaggerated proportions give the casting a traditional lead-sled and custom-car appearance while retaining the distinctive Hot Wheels styling created by designer Larry Wood.
This HYX55 release is collector #005 of the 2025 Hot Wheels mainline and #1 of 5 in the HW Designed By series. The series highlights favorite designs associated with Hot Wheels designers, making Purple Passion a fitting representative of Larry Wood’s long-running influence on the brand.
