This HCT45-M9C0M release features a transparent body with yellow and black accents, a prominent number 45 graphic on the hood, clear wheels with yellow five-spoke centers, and a photoluminescent interior designed to glow after exposure to light.
Lightnin' Bug combines styling inspired by classic 1960s dune buggies with a modern Hot Wheels interpretation. The casting includes an exposed rear-engine layout, raw tube-frame styling, pronounced front fenders, and a low open-cockpit profile. The clear body and wheel treatment give the model the distinctive transparent appearance associated with the X-Raycers series.
This casting was introduced as a new model for the 2022 Hot Wheels mainline and was designed by Lindsey Lee. As the fifth and final model in the 2022 X-Raycers mini collection, it pairs unusual transparent construction with a purpose-built fantasy buggy design.
