The Hirohata Merc is based on the famous custom 1951 Mercury Club Coupe created by Barris Customs for Bob Hirohata. Its chopped roofline, heavily lowered stance, flowing fenders, rear wheel skirts, smoothed bodywork, and extensive chrome-style trim reflect the distinctive appearance that made the full-size Hirohata Mercury one of the most influential American customs of its era.
