It is more flexible to withstand the weather and freight companies. There is a stake hole in the bottom of the slide so that it can be staked to the ground to avoid being picked up. The sides are also scalloped. The 8 ft slide fits a 4 ft platform. Top lip is 17.5 in. wide, seat is 13 in. wide, sides are 4.5 in. deep.
