About This Item
The Matchbox Flying Dagger 9/13 GKT51 is a Sky Busters fantasy jet aircraft finished in metallic blue with black wing sections and gold-accented graphics. This 2020 variation features the angular, futuristic Flying Dagger design with a swept-wing profile, pointed nose, dark cockpit glazing, and bold “DESERT DAGGER” themed markings.
The aircraft uses a metallic blue upper body with contrasting black plastic wing and base components, smoke-tinted windows, and blue, dark blue, red, and gold graphics. Additional markings include “DD1,” “NO STEP,” and Desert Dagger-style details that give this release a military-inspired appearance while remaining a fictional Matchbox design.
Condition
This Matchbox Flying Dagger is factory sealed in its original Sky Busters blister-card packaging. The supplied photos show the aircraft enclosed in the original clear blister with the card intact. Normal light shelf or storage wear may be present.
We may have multiple units of this item available, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the one shown in the photos.
Product appearance and packaging details may vary slightly from the photos shown.
The sealed-package presentation keeps the Matchbox vehicle, printed card or box artwork, series details, and identifying information together for storage or display. Minor differences in package edges, corners, surface marks, or clear blister appearance can occur between individual retail examples.
Why Collect This Model
The Flying Dagger stands out within the Sky Busters line as a futuristic Matchbox original aircraft rather than a licensed real-world plane. Its angular jet profile, metallic blue finish, dark wing sections, Desert Dagger graphics, and compact die-cast format make this version a strong fit for collections focused on Matchbox aircraft, fantasy aviation, Sky Busters releases, and military-inspired die-cast designs.
Flying Dagger also works well in collections organized by Matchbox series, casting, manufacturer, vehicle type, or complete themed sets. The packaging and series identifiers help distinguish this particular issue from other versions of the same model.
